James Duff (Jim) is the U.S. National Head of Banking for BMO Private Bank and has 27 years of experience in the financial services industry. Jim’s banking career has provided him with a variety of opportunities ranging from individual contributor to leading Regional Sales teams along with leading teams in risk and operations.
Specifically, Jim has been with BMO Harris Bank since 2003 and has served in a variety of roles from Relationship Manager to Regional Head/President of Business Banking along with Head of Risk for Business Banking and now National Head of Banking with BMO Private Bank.
Jim also spent five years with Ernst & Young”s Financial Services Practice where he led a variety of projects assisting companies with Strategy, Business Process Reengineering and Technology initiatives for both domestic and international clients.
Jim holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Illinois State University with a Double Major in Economics and Finance. Jim also earned an MBA with a Concentration in Finance from DePaul University.
Jim is active in a number of not-for-profit organizations and other volunteer activities such as the Women in Need Growing Stronger (WINGs) organization in Chicago, IL, and currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Chicago History Museum. Jim is married with 3 children and lives in Western Spring, IL.
